Lecture Nature Knows: Eco-Activism in Contemporary Art

On February 27, at 19:00 Minsk time, the Evaa project initiative, which has been known since 2012 for its work with the topic of environmental art in Belarus, will hold a free lecture.

Here you will learn:

how environmental problems began to worry artists and what does the Medici gardens have to do with it

how did it happen that artistic expressions escaped behind the narrow walls of galleries

who are the most famous artists who worked with the theme of environmental protection and what famous art objects they created

and, of course, the names and works of Belarusian artists who today raise issues of the relationship between man and nature

The speaker

is Master of Arts Polina Burko,manager of artistic educational projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Latvia, who defended her thesis on the topic of eco-activism in modern photography

The lecture will be held in Belarusian on Zoom on Monday, February 27 at 19:00 Belarusian time. To get a link to the broadcast, you need to register in the Google form.
